HAM Italia opens LNG filling station in Novi Ligure
HAM Group continues its expansion by opening new service stations
HAM Group, through its subsidiary HAM Italia, has inaugurated, in collaboration with Iveco, a new liquefied natural gas service station, at the Combustibles Ratti facilities, in the city of Novi Ligure, Italian region of Piedmont.
The new LNG service station adopts the latest technology created by HAM, which allows an efficient supply for loading natural gas in heavy vehicles (more than 100 liters per minute) without the need to use any type of pump, which means that it does not consumption of electrical energy occurs.
The HAM Group’s development plan in Italy is very ambitious and aims, in the short term, to implement a network of natural gas charging points in northern and central Italy, at existing third-party fuel service stations. This will ensure an adequate distribution network throughout this area of Italy, which will allow transporters to supply themselves with natural gas and accelerate the launch of the LNG value chain.
In addition to the opening of the LNG service station in Novi Ligure, the procedures have begun for the authorization of the construction of more LNG plants, which will be carried out in Modena, Brescia, Bologna and Ferrara, agreements already formalized with the service station owners. Construction will also begin, near Livorno, on ENI’s next liquefied natural gas filling station.
These agreements are the result of HAM’s strong implementation in Italy and will enable the creation of an important LNG supply network in the north and center of the country.
