LNG, CNG and Biomethane refuelling stations with underground tanks
Yellow Project is the HAM Group’s pioneering project for the construction of CNG, LNG and biomethane refuelling stations in small spaces. The construction of a fuel station involves the installation of large equipment, respecting all the established safety measures, which ultimately reduces the useful space for the installation of LNG, CNG and biomethane dispensers.

Development of Yellow Project
HAM Criogénica and our R&D team have developed this project, which proposes burying the gas tank under the circulable area of the refuelling station, avoiding the impact on the traffic flows of the fuel station and providing a larger and safer surface area. All equipment is designed and manufactured at the HAM and Vakuum facilities.
HAM Irún LNG-CNG with underground tank
The first refuelling station to form part of Yellow Project is HAM Irún LNG-CNG Gipuzkoa. It is an ultra-compact fuel station, on a surface of only 310m2. The refuelling station’s underground tank offers 80,000 litres of LNG capacity, works at low pressures (3 bar), has a submerged pump and can deliver up to 12,000kg/h of LNG and 10,000 kilos of CNG per day.

Yellow Project — NGV in small spaces
HAM Irún has an underground coldbox and an on-the-fly conditioning system, and allows the installation of up to 2 double dispensers (4 hoses) for Liquefied Natural Gas and 1 double dispenser (2 hoses) for Compressed Natural Gas.
The design is compatible with international ISO standards and in particular with French standards 4718, 1413 and 1414..
