New CNG supply point in Cornellà

HAM inaugurates a compressed natural gas service station in Cornellà, Barcelona

HAM Group and Galp have opened the first compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling point in Barcelona in Cornellà. This has been possible thanks to a cooperation agreement between both companies, to deliver this type of fuel to all their customers.

The Cornellá service station is located on Progreso street, corner Albert Einstein (Pol. Almeda), 08940 Cornellá de Llobregat (Barcelona). It is a very busy point, since it is close to the Cornellá-El Prat stadium, the WTC Almeda Park business center and the Bellvitge Hospital. It stands out for being an area with a large volume of traffic, due to the proximity of the A-2, also known as the Northeast highway, which channels traffic coming from points in Europe located to the east of the Pyrenees and heading mainly to the center of the Iberian Peninsula and Portugal. The new gas station is also located very close to the B-20, known as Ronda de Dalt, a Barcelona ring road, which runs through the north of the city.

The new vehicle natural gas (NGV) refueling point has been installed and commissioned by Grupo HAM, which will be in charge of its operation. In this way, Galp service stations reaffirm their commitment to innovation and respect for the environment, betting on the installation of natural gas supply points in their service stations in Spain, offering all their customers a clean and environmentally friendly, in addition to providing a new approach to mobility in the transport sector.

The opening ceremony was attended by Antoni Murugó, marketing manager at HAM and Jaume Suriol, technical director at HAM, José Manuel Serna, Service Station Network Project Manager for Spain at Galp and Fernando Martín Nieto, Commercial Manager at Gas&Power.

In addition to this new CNG supply point in Cornélla (Barcelona), new openings are planned in La Jonquera CNG – LNG (Girona), ), San Sebastián de los Reyes GNC-GNL (Madrid), Alfajarín GNC-GNL (Zaragoza) and in the Port of Barcelona CNG-LNG.
