HAM Jonquera GNC – LNG welcomes the runners who refuel in La Jonquera

HAM Group will soon inaugurate the new HAM Jonquera service station, located at Crta. N-II Km 774, 17700 La Jonquera, Girona (How to get there), where liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas can be refueled. Before its opening, it was visited by the LNG Blue Corridor Rally, for vehicles powered by natural gas and LNG trucks, which started in Lisbon on September 18, and is in its last stage on the Iberian Peninsula. The participants aim to travel 5,700 km in 18 days, passing through 9 European countries and ending in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg, coinciding with the celebration of the International Gas Forum.

The LNG Blue Corridor Rally, which takes place every year on different routes, confirms the objectives of the European LNG Blue Corridors project approved in 2013 and coordinated from Spain, which has revealed the broad possibilities of liquefied natural gas (LNG), such as only alternative to petroleum derivatives in heavy road transport, both national and international.

The Iberian part of this rally has the collaboration of Gasnam, in addition to several companies from Spain and Portugal linked to this alternative fuel.

With the imminent opening of the CNG and LNG supply station in La Jonquera, HAM continues to expand its network of service stations. This new service station has been co-financed by the EU through the CEF (connecting europe facility) program, through the LNG cHAMaleon project, led by HAM and the Slovenian company ENOS LNG. This project aims to promote the use of LNG on the Barcelona-Ljubljana route in an efficient and innovative way.

HAM continues to support natural gas as a real alternative to fossil fuels, which are more polluting and expensive, for the transport of goods by road. We will soon open the San Sebastián de los Reyes GNC-GNL (Madrid), Port of Barcelona GNC-GNL and Alfajarín GNC-GNL (Zaragoza) service stations, placing Grupo HAM at the top of the sector, being the company with the most sales. of LNG for the domestic market.
