HAM Italia opens new LNG – CNG service stations

HAM Italia is helping to promote Natural Gas Vehicles

HAM Group continues its expansion in Italy with new vehicular natural gas projects and installations, helping its implementation and expansion throughout the country. These new projects consolidate HAM’s leadership position in the LNG sector in Europe.

Last October at the Oil&Nonoil, fair, held in Verona, HAM was present with all its new products, among which we found two new service stations where liquefied natural gas and compressed natural gas can be refueled.

HAM Italia, is the European leader of the GNC-GNL

The first service station recently opened by HAM Italia, was launched last week. The gas station, where you can refuel LNG and LNG-C, with an LNG dispenser, is located in the town of Pontedera, S.G.C FI-PI-LI communication axis, at kilometer 56, which connects Florence with Pisa and Livorno . Its location, on one of the most important strategic communication routes in Tuscany, links the port of Livorno with the Italian motorway network. This station operates under the flag and property of ENI, one of the first Italian operators, which is committed to the use of LNG in transportation.

The second facility has been built for the transport company Maganeti Spedizioni and is located in the municipality of Gera Lario, province of Como, in the Lombardy region. The Maganeti Spedizioni company, very aware of environmental protection, has begun to promote the use of alternative fuels in its heavy vehicles, changing its fleet of diesel trucks for those powered by liquefied natural gas. The service station is equipped with a mixed LNG–CNG dispenser manufactured by HAM, the first built in a fixed installation, the only model on the market with these characteristics. The existence of this service station in the Lombardy region is a pioneering and important fact for the change of fuel, since it is an area of Italy where the use of gas in the automotive industry still has very little tradition, in contrast to other areas. regions of the country where compressed natural gas is much more widespread. It is also worth noting that it is the first LNG and CNG station in Italy that operates as self-service, being completely tele-managed, an important circumstance in Italy, since Italian legislation is very demanding in terms of measures to comply with in order to open a station. gas service station in this mode.

HAM Group, through HAM Italia, continues working to expand the station network. In the coming months, new service stations will open, thus reinforcing the presence of compressed natural gas and liquefied natural gas in the transalpine country.
